Purchased Gift Cards

The Knotstop sells dollar-value gift cards that may be used toward eligible services or retail purchases at The Knotstop.

• Purchased dollar-value gift cards do not expire.
• Purchased dollar-value gift cards do not have dormancy, inactivity or service fees.
• Dollar-value gift cards retain the dollar amount purchased.
• If service or product pricing increases after purchase, the guest is responsible for any difference between the gift card balance and the current price.

Service Packages and Service-Specific Gift Certificates

The Knotstop may sell service packages, including packages of three services, and may offer service-specific gift certificates during seasonal or holiday promotions.

• Service packages may be redeemed according to the package purchased.
• Service-specific gift certificates are intended for the service or package identified at purchase.
• When a guest has a valid service-specific gift certificate, the service price is locked in for that specific service or package.
• Service-specific gift certificates are redeemable for the service or package identified at the time of purchase. Any upgrade requests are subject to availability and any applicable price difference.

Promotional Bonus and Complimentary Value

From time to time, The Knotstop may offer promotional bonus value, complimentary certificates, bonus gift cards or free promotional value as part of a seasonal or limited-time offer.

• Promotional bonus value is separate from purchased gift card value.
• Bonus, free or complimentary promotional value expires three months after purchase, at the end of the third month, unless different terms are clearly stated for a specific offer.
• Promotional bonus value is not refundable.
• Promotional bonus value is not redeemable for cash except where required by law.
• Promotional value may not be combined with other discounts, special offers or promotional programs unless specifically stated in the promotion terms.

California Gift Card Rights

California law provides important protections for most purchased gift cards and gift certificates. The Knotstop honors applicable California gift card requirements.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to limit any rights provided to consumers under applicable California law.

• Purchased gift card value does not expire.
• Purchased gift card value is not reduced by dormancy, inactivity or service fees.
• Gift card balances under $15 are redeemable for cash upon request where required by California law.
• Electronic gift cards and physical gift cards are both subject to applicable California gift card requirements.

Refunds and Cash Redemption

Gift card purchases are non-refundable. The Knotstop does not offer refunds for purchased gift cards, service packages, service-specific gift certificates or promotional gift card purchases except where required by law.

Gift cards are not redeemable for cash except where required by California law, including qualifying remaining balances under $15.

Lost, Stolen or Misplaced Gift Cards

Gift cards are treated similarly to cash. The Knotstop is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, misplaced or unauthorized use of gift cards.

The Knotstop may have limited ability to look up a gift card through Meevo if sufficient purchase information is available. Any lookup or recovery assistance requires verification and may require confirmation from the original purchaser before the gift card can be redeemed.

Any recovery assistance provided by The Knotstop is a courtesy and is not guaranteed.

• Replacement is not guaranteed.
• Verification may be required before a recovered gift card can be used.
• The Knotstop may decline redemption if ownership or purchase details cannot be reasonably verified.

Redemption and Appointment Policies

Gift cards, packages and service-specific certificates may be redeemed toward eligible The Knotstop services or retail purchases, subject to appointment availability, current service offerings and applicable promotion terms.

• Advance booking is recommended.
• Gift cards do not guarantee appointment availability.
• Gift card appointments are subject to The Knotstop cancellation policy.
• A valid credit or debit card may be required on file for appointments, even when a guest plans to pay with a gift card.
• If a cancellation or no-show fee applies and another payment method is unavailable, gift card value may be used to cover the applicable fee.

Promotions, Errors and Changes

The Knotstop may offer limited-time gift card promotions, seasonal specials, service packages or bonus offers. Promotional terms may vary by offer and may include deadlines, redemption limits, service restrictions or combination restrictions.

The Knotstop reserves the right to correct typographical errors, pricing mistakes, technical errors or promotion descriptions that are inaccurate, incomplete or inconsistent with the intended offer.
